ABOUT ME
Dr. Saman Shafaat Talab is a practicing urologic surgeon with privileges at Eisenhower medical center, Desert Regional Medical Center and JFK Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Talab obtained his medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and then joined department of Urology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard medical School as a post-doctoral fellow. He completed his urology residency at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School and currently is a member of American Urologic Association.
He has undergone extensive training in advanced laparoscopy, robotics and minimally invasive surgery. His practice mainly focuses on robotic and minimally invasive surgery for urologic malignancies including prostate, bladder, ureter and kidney cancer, genitourinary reconstructive surgery, prosthetic urology for erectile dysfunction and incontinence as well as all aspects of benign prostate enlargement (BPH) and complex stone disease.
Dr. Talab has published more than 40 articles in peer-reviewed journals, co-authored multiple book chapters and has had numerous abstracts and presentations at national and international urology conferences. His research has been rewarded by multiple prestigious international awards from urologic societies.
